The Board provides guidance and support for medical Main Street, powered by Oakland County. It consists of no more than 20 top executives from the health care, medical device and bio-technology companies, education and state-wide life sciences organizations.
The Board is appointed by the County Executive and members can be reappointed. The Board is a non-voting entity. The County Executive is Chairman of the Board.
Criteria for being a Board member includes the following:
- Must have facilities in Oakland County, MI or be a statewide association
- Must be in the life science or health care sector
- Must be appointed by the Oakland County Executive
